The Wolverhampton Wanderers will play hosts this week as they take on Arsenal this Saturday as the Barclays Premier League enters into game week 12. They would be going into this match after a 2-2 draw against Stoke City last weekend. Arsenal on the other side played extremely well and registered a cruising 3-0 victory against Tottenham.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers, commonly known as the Wolves, have completely disappointed their fans this season. They have been able to win only two of their all eleven matches, scoring just 10 points and a 16th position in the points table. Their last five matches have seen them lose two and draw three matches respectively. Lack of fitness has been a key issue with the teams’ management. The players have not been able to perform well in their respective roles, with the attack being weak and defence being lazy. They need to get into the top gear before their next match this weekend.

Arsenal on the other hand has maintained their good reputation efficiently this season. Having won seven from their all ten matches, they have secured 22 points and have secured the 3rd position in the points table. They have been a brilliant unit together. Torres has been their star player and has scored 10 goals till now making him the leading goal scorer. Van Persie, Fabregas, Gallas and Sagna all have lent the team with great strength. Tottenham has been doing really well this season. They have won six from their eleven matches, scoring 19 points and are currently in 5th position in the points table. They have played brilliantly together as a team and have lent the required supported each other. They have been a better side when it comes to attacking as compared to their defence. Keane, Crouch and Kranjcar have been the building blocks in their attack. They have outshone almost everyone with their game. Manchester City will face Burnley in a home game this Saturday as the 12th week of Barclays Premier League gets underway. Manchester City goes into this match after a 0-0 draw against Birmingham City. Burnley on the other hand had won its match 2-0 against Hull City last weekend.

Manchester City had started off their season on a high note. However their aggression has cooled down considerably as they have managed only draws in their last four matches. Currently placed in the 4th position with 19 points, their story could have been quite different if they would have put in that extra effort in the last few games. A very big problem prevailing with them from quite some time is that when the attackers performed, the defence failed and when the defence was strong, the attacking was poor. However, their ‘Never Say Die’ approach has been their greatest strength this season.

Burnley has maintained a steady pace and is slowly rising up in the points table. Having started on a slow note, they have been able to win 5 matches with total 15 points. Their win in the last match was a great performance by them. Alexander scored a double to guide his team to a cruising victory. The Clarets, as they are popularly known, did show some exceptionally well football on field. The defence was pretty much in sync with the attack as they were efficiently able to pull off some great counter attacks during the game. Fletcher was especially brilliant with his passing and moves that he made, creating scoring chances.

Blackburn Rovers will go against Portsmouth this Saturday at home, as the Barclays Premier League enters into its 12th week. Blackburn will be going into this match after a 2-0 loss to Manchester United last week. Portsmouth on the other hand had won their previous match against Wigan Athletic 4-0. Both teams need a big win and will be using all their effort.

Blackburn has been on a losing streak, having lost last two of its matches. Their performance otherwise too hasn’t been that praiseworthy. They have been able to win only three from their all ten matches, seated on the 17th position in the points table with a meagre 10 points. Last match too saw them perform awfully. Attack has been consistently poor up to now. The defence has been unable to play with will and coordination to get a desired result.

Portsmouth in their last league game showed some respite from the dismal run that they had been going through. Constantly being criticized for poor performance and their position at the bottom of the points table, it was time to rejoice as they pulled of a fantastic win against Wigan Athletic by 4-0. This performance was remarkably their best performance in this season up till now, and it surely brought some merriment for not only the team and its management but also for its fans all over. Dindane showed his class scoring a triple to seal the victory for Portsmouth. However great concern lies ahead as star defender Finnan and attacker Piquionne were injured during play and their chances to play this week are quite bleak.
