Manchester United which had enjoyed a position on the top of the points table till before this match, lost its position once again to Chelsea. It has had a pretty amazing season as of yet, winning six of their total eight matches. It is also placed third in the tally of the top goal scoring clubs. Rooney has been in a tremendous form, having scored six goals this season. Berbatov has lent great support to Rooney. Players like Fletcher, Scholes and Nani have made the mid-line strong and have helped build in a nice tempo by their passing and play making. O’Shea has been brilliant with his defending. His exorbitant skills have impressed most and his coordination with fellow defenders has made Manchester United’s defence rock solid.
Bolton on the other hand has failed to live up to its fans expectations. They have been able to win only two of their total seven matches. The only hope one can see in the Bolton side is in Davies. Only he has been able to strike and score some goals, saving them of definite shame and despair. With a weak mid and defence line, they have nowhere to go. The management needs to give more chances to the younger brigade. They have reserve players such as Robinson and Al Habsi who have showed good worth when given the chance.
