Portsmouth will host their next match against Wigan Athletic this weekend as game week eleven gets underway in the Barclays Premier League. Portsmouth will be coming into this match after their 0-0 draw against Hull City. Wigan on the other hand had won against Burnley 3-1 last weekend.
Portsmouth had begun this season in an ordinary style continuing their bad run up till now. Placed at the bottom of the points table since the beginning of the season, they have managed only one win in their ten matches. There has been a complete poor display of football by them. None of the departments has done the required job, attack being poor and defence being weak. They have not been able to score off the opportunities they got. Their manager Paul Hart needs to make some serious amendments into the team and implement some new strategies to improve their game on field.
Wigan Athletic will be hoping for another win especially after their last win that has certainly livened up their spirits. Placed 10th in the points table, they have had a season which includes both uprise and downfall in their game. Rodallega once again proved his worth to the management and the fans as he scored a double, continuing his good run. Boyce too scored this time. However, their mid line was left weakened early when Figueroa was injured and his chances to play this week remain quite unsure.
